We're excited to invite you to our laid-back carols event this December!

On Sunday, 14 December, our church backyard at Marmong Point will be transformed into a relaxed Christmas celebration as families gather on the lawn under the jacaranda tree.

Enjoy a free BBQ, face painting, kids nativity dress-ups, and all your favourite carols. BYO picnic blanket, snacks to share, and your Christmas spirit!

Christmas Carols at Lake Mac Church is a free event that we put on for our local community to come and enjoy together.

Celebrate our Saviour’s birth together.

Not sure what to expect? Here’s the rundown: you'll be warmly welcomed when you arrive, and you can sit wherever you like. The service will run for just over an hour—it’ll include some songs, prayer, and a short talk from the Bible about the real meaning of Christmas.

Bring your family and friends to celebrate Christmas with carols and a hope-filled message, and stay after the service for hot chocolates and gingerbread.

Service wraps up in just over 60 minutes, giving you plenty of time to get to your festive gatherings with loved ones.⁠

  • Yes! Choose whichever one works best for you and your family this year.

  • We won’t be running a kids program at our Christmas Eve service or our Christmas Day service (though it will be a short service, and still family-friendly!). Our Carols event is perfect for kids and families—we’d love to welcome you and your family there on Sunday, 14 December!

  • As you walk in there'll usually be a few people to say hi and offer you a name tag (helps to know who you’re talking to!). Then if there's time, you can grab a coffee. Feel free to sit anywhere you like. 

    We’ll sing a few songs together and listen to a brief talk from the Bible. It will be a shorter-than-usual service.

  • The Christmas Eve service kicks off at 4pm, but people arrive between 3.30 and 3.45 to enjoy a barista-made coffee, chat with the others who are there and find a seat.

    The Christmas Day service kicks off at 9.30am, but people arrive between 9am and 9.15 to enjoy a barista-made coffee, chat with the others who are there and find a seat.

  • There is plenty of on-street parking available around 16 High Street. We love our Marmong Point neighbours! So please avoid blocking driveways and access to private residences.

  • Don’t worry. Lake Mac Church is full of people from all sorts of backgrounds, faith traditions and non-traditions. Some of us have been Christians for a long time, others have just started following Jesus, and some are exploring the claims Jesus made. We’d love to have you join us no matter where you’re at with God.
