WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
The service kicks off at 4PM but lots of people arrive around 3:45 to enjoy a cuppa (from our coffee machine!) find a seat and chat with the others who are there.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You don’t need to dress up to come to church. Dress like you would at the shops.
We really just want you to relax, forget about what other people think and engage with God’s word in the Bible.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
As you walk in there'll usually be a few people to say and offer you a name tag (helps to know who you’re talking to!), then if there's time, you can grab a cuppa. There are no assigned seats or special rows for certain people. Feel free to sit anywhere you like.
We start off with a couple of songs, the MC let’s us know what’s happening for the day - before the Kids are invited to join in our Kids Church program in the rooms next door whilst the adults spend time hearing a chunk of the Bible read and explained. Someone will lead the church in prayer, and then we sing another song near the end.
We encourage you to engage at your own pace, even if that means just listening!
After the service, lots of people stick around to share a nice dinner together (free of charge).
ARE PEOPLE WHO AREN'T CHRISTIAN WELCOME?
Everyone's welcome and so we work hard at making our gatherings welcoming and accessible to everyday people, because we're everyday people, and Jesus is good news for everyday people!
BUT I’M NOT A CHRISTIAN
Don’t worry. Lake Mac Church is full of people from all sorts of backgrounds, faith traditions and non-traditions. Some of us have been Christians for a long time, others have just started following Jesus, and some exploring the claims Jesus made. We’d love to have you join us no matter where’re you at with God.
